THE RELEASE OF THE SPIRIT OF GOD IN THIS GENERATION

TEXT:

(John 14:15-17 NIV) ""If you love me, you will obey what I command. {16} And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever-- {17} the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you."

(John 14:25-26 NIV) ""All this I have spoken while still with you. {26} But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you."

(John 16:12-15 NIV) ""I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. {13} But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. {14} He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. {15} All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you."

(1 Cor 2:9-16 NIV) "However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"-- {10} but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. {11} For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. {12} We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. {13} This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. {14} The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. {15} The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment: {16} "For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ."

THE SPIRIT OF JESUS REVEALS & EMPOWERS THIS GENERATION..

(Heb 1 NIV) "In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, {2} but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe….

(Heb 2:1-4 NIV) "We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. {2} For if the message spoken by angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, {3} how shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. {4} God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will."

WE ARE LIVING IN A TIME OF GLOBAL TRANSITION

- THE BIBLE CALLS OUR GENERATION THE DAY OF THE LORD

- IT IS A TIME WHEN GOD IS RELEASING THE FULL POWER & PURPOSE OF HIS HOLY SPIRIT..

- THIS POWER IS THE ONLY WAY THAT WE WILL ENDURE.. NOT ONLY ENDURE.. THIS WILL BE A PERIOD OF POWER AND TRUTH..

IT IS THE MOST PROPHESIED GLOBAL TRANSITION IN THE BIBLE!!

- DURING THE COMING DAYS GOD INTENDS TO AMAZING THINGS

-GOD INTENDS ON REVEALING HIMSELF ON THE EARTH

-THINGS THAT HAVE NEVER HAPPENED ON THE EARTH BEFORE!

-THE BIBLE SAYS THAT THE LIKES OF THESE DAYS HAVE NEVER BEEN SEEN ON THE EARTH BEFORE AND WILL NEVER BE SEEN AGAIN!

THE PROMISE FOR THIS GLOBAL TRANSITION – “DAY OF THE LORD”

(Joel 2:28-32 NIV) "'And afterward (IN THE LAST DAYS), I WILL POUR OUT MY SPIRIT ON ALL PEOPLE. Your sons and daughters will PROPHESY, your old men will dream DREAMS, your young men will see VISIONS. {29} Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days. {30} I will show WONDERS IN THE HEAVENS and ON THE EARTH, blood and fire and billows of smoke. {31} The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. {32} And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the LORD has said, among the survivors whom the LORD calls." (Joel 3:1-2 NIV) "'In those days and at that time, WHEN I RESTORE THE FORTUNES OF JUDAH AND JERUSALEM, {2} I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel, for they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land."

(Hab 2:14 NIV) "For THE EARTH WILL BE FILLED WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE GLORY OF THE LORD, AS THE WATERS COVER THE SEA."

GOD INTENDS TO FULFILL THE LORD’S PRAYER:

“Let your kingdom come, let your will be done – ON EARTH – as it is in heaven..”

HOW DOES GOD REVEAL HIS GLORY ON THE EARTH?

THROUGH THE CHURCH!!

(Eph 3:20-21 NASB) "Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, {21} TO HIM BE THE GLORY IN THE CHURCH and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen."

JESUS PRAYS FOR HIS GLORY TO BE REVEALED IN US

(John 17:22-24 NIV) "I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: {23} I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity TO LET THE WORLD KNOW THAT YOU SENT ME AND HAVE LOVED THEM EVEN AS YOU HAVE LOVED ME. {24} "Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world."

GOD’S INTENTION IS TO BE REVEALED ON THE EARTH THROUGH YOU!

(Rom 8:11 NLT) "The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as he raised Christ from the dead, HE WILL GIVE LIFE TO YOUR MORTAL BODY BY THIS SAME SPIRIT LIVING WITHIN YOU."

GOD INTENDS TO REVEAL HIS GLORY THROUGH HIS PEOPLE ON THE EARTH!!

YOU ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST!

INVITATION:

• As we have communion this morning.. will you say “spirit come” be revealed in me.. I give myself to you to be the revelation of God on the earth!!

• During this time I do not agree with the spirit of fear.. I agree with the plan of God for me to overcome!
